Best Dog Obedience Training in CO

Best Dog Obedience Training in CO essentially makes your dog remember some basic commands that gives you an out amid tackling behavioral problems. With the correct attitude, it will be fun for both you and your dog. Start by merely teaching when to ‘sit’ as being the easiest and most commonly used. Let your dog smell the treat by holding it close to the nose. As dog makes an eye contact raise the food in way that dog’s head and your hand move simultaneously upward. This pose allow dog to lower his bottom as happens while sitting. This is where say ‘sit’ and drop the food. Show an appreciation (by rubbing neck and head) of the fact that dog followed your command. Do it few times until dog gets used to it. Make your dog sit while jogging or say it randomly to make sure that command has completely been understood.

Make your dog understand ‘come’ command as this way you don’t have to wander from street to street in case you don’t find your dog anywhere. Put a chain and a collar around your dog. Lower yourself to the dog’s level and pull the chain slightly. As soon as he reaches you, show your affection and give him the food. Once you get the feeling that your dog has mastered this command, remove the chain.

These are some of the basic orders being taught in Best Dog Obedience Training in CO. Our trainers are expert at making your dog understand some of the most difficult commands. The most important aspect is to improve the way you communicate with your dog. Without knowing how to effectively communicate, all your efforts would absolutely be worthless and there is no point wasting your energy. Keep this in mind that the whole process of learning takes time so don’t rush and expect that you would get the desired result overnight.

Dog Training and Behavior

Dog Training and Behavior exercise has been key in making sure that your dog remains fit and healthy both mentally and physically. This routine activity is deemed effective in altering behavior and it is done to keep your dog from any behavioral problems.  There are variety of behavior problems that could adversely affect dog’s health. Great number of dog’s health issues stem from the fear of being separated as they start to feel anxious. If your dog starts to bite, bark or digging something, it is often the result of misunderstanding between dog and the owner. These behaviors result from being in a state of not knowing what to do and could be avoided by making your dog learn as to how to behave when faced with any particular scenario. Going through any obedience training at the start of the dog’s life helps a lot and would prevent many behavioral issues in the long run.

Dog Training and Behavior issues could be minimized to a great extent by setting up limits regarding tolerable and intolerable conduct. Finalize it for once and adhere to it so that your dog could get used to it. Always keep this in mind that you are the master and whatever you say must be followed by your dog. Punish or make your dog pay for repeated wrong conduct so as to make it crystal clear what is reasonable behavior under any particular situation.

At some point, it may seem that your dog is behaving wrongly intentionally to annoy you but that would not be the case. Dog always behave in response to something and before going any further it is important to find out what exactly is that. The sad stark reality is that every other dog ends up in an animal shelter due to behavioral issues and the lack of understanding as to how to tackle it.

Family Dog Training In Co

Getting a new dog is exciting and something that I had been waiting for when I moved to my new place in Colorado. I was looking forward to the change and getting a dog meant that I wouldn’t be completely alone in the house while I got used to the change of a new place.

So you can imagine my excitement as my neighbor brought over the puppies her dog just had for me to pick. Immediately the mischievous, golden ball of fur caught my eye and I knew he was the one. A few days in and I was going crazy!  The puppies had shredded all the couches in living room and let’s not even talk about the resistance to a leash - I knew I needed help and fast!

I immediately started searching for centers offering Family Dog Training In Co and asking my neighbors if they knew any good centers offering Family Dog Training In Co. Finally I selected one that was offering a 3 week course that fulfilled all my requirements and by the end of all those weeks, I had a well behaved (yet still slightly mischievous) puppy.
